The African Weightlifting Federation held its executive board elections on April 22, 2025, at the Le Peninsula Bay Beach Resort and Spa in Mauritius. In a strong demonstration of solidarity and shared vision, member nations unanimously renewed the mandate of Mr. Khaled Mehalhel as President for another term, extending his leadership until 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Mehalel\u2019s continued presidency reflects the confidence the African weightlifting community places in his leadership. Under his guidance, the sport has made significant strides across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The elections not only confirmed strong leadership at the top, but also showed a strong sense of unity among African nations, all working together with one goal: to raise the level of weightlifting across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
